For this competition we worked as a group of five architects. My main contribution was creating the form of the concept. I created and developed the form and shape working on a sketch model, all the while considering the general planning. Following this, the other group members worked on the drawings to be submitted.
This is a project for a culture and retail centre, designed for a national competition in southwest Turkey. The form started from a shell roof and it wraps around the sides as walls and becomes integrated with the landscape. The other benefit of this form is that it creates a slope for the cinema spaces. A courtyard in the centre of this building provides natural lighting. Some contrasting shapes and spaces on the form emphasize the aesthetic value.
