The project has been designed as a part of a farm that is neighbouring a natural forest in south-west of Turkey.
We made a decision with the client to use the local material with a modern and simple approach. We used the rammed earth method to build up the exterior walls with the local labour force and used timber for structural elements such as roofing and flooring.
The campus complex consists of a movie studio (with utilities), a guesthouse block (6-9 units), a two storey building for classrooms, kitchen, dining hall, offices and other spaces connected to the movie studio. There is also a dual function building on site that can be used as accommodation for staff and can be converted into classrooms for educational purposes when there is not any filming going on.
